I'm considering fairing my keel & rudder in the off season and would like input from anyone who has done this project themselves. Specifically, has anyone used the Compu-keel templates? How many hours did the job take, etc...
Thanks,

Seriously consider David Wayland with Gulf Coast Composites in Houston. He is turning out some of the fastest 80's in the world. I have sailed on two of his latest keels and they are really fast!

Help me understand ..... why is fairing the hull and foils even class legal??? Seems to me it gives a big advantage to the guys who spend the money ($5000 in Kerry Klinger's case)to make his boat different from all the rest! On the other hand we can't use a high tech mainsail like I use for PHRF ... class wants to keep the cost down!
