People have asked me about this several times so I thought I'd share. I'm old and weak so I use a fine tune on my mainsheet. I inherited it when I bought the boat and I like it a lot...and used it last night through our race. The class measurers looked at it at NAs in 2010 and pronounced it legal.

Looks good. Won't this reduce the ability of the traveler to move the boom to windward? The traveler on these boats are very limited anyway. We use the 3:1/6:1 with 2 sheets coming out of the block. you can grab both for 3:1 or one for 6:1.

I like it, but there is a lot of line on the floor.

Interesting point, Pat. I hadn't noticed any trouble getting the boom to weather. In light airs, I can disconnect the fine tune pretty easily, too.
