Hey guys ,

Thanks again everyone for all the great advice , we're almost set to go with the new boat. We made alot of measurments and tuning recently and it was discovered that the point at which the mast meets the bottom of the boat is 7 3/4 inches and moved all the way forward. But all the tuning guides I've read say is should be between 8 1/2 to 9 inches and people are telling me it will seriously effect boat speed. Anyone with any advice or opinions on the matter ? I'd hate to have to start drilling and altering the structure of the boat, is it such a big deal ?

Its no big deal to drill the extra holes. Check w/ your sailmaker for the proper prebend. Most sail makers now design main sail formast prebend of 2" or less.
