The Newport Regatta is July 14 & 15. The long range forecast calls for Sunny weather with temps in the low 80s and sea breezes filling in from the SW around 12-15, maybe as much as 18, knots each day. In other words, typical New conditions.

The previous Saturday, Fleet 9 has racing scheduled and any visiting boats are welcome to join us, gratis, for some tuning. We anticipate 3-5 races starting just off the harbor entrance at 1 PM. It's also Tall Ships Weekend so Newport will be a hopping spot. After sailing everyone is invited to Ida Lewis YC for burgers and drinks.

Sounds good. After the Annapolis regatta in June 14&15, we are going to pack up the boat and head to NPT for the July event.

Unfortunately, Angry Chameleon is out for Newport because we have a wedding - but we are in for Cedar Point, BBR, J Jam & NA's!

Great! If you're leaving the boat for a while and want to save a few dollars, you can park it in my driveway. I have room for at least 3 boats as mine will be at Sail Newport or in the water.

255 will be missed. But on the upside all my scores probably just went up 1 place. : )

I'll make all the others, except maybe NAs. Unless we're having a stellar year, in which case...

We'll plan to be in Newport! Don't forget the J/80 Downeast Championship is just a few hours drive north the following weekend (July 20-22) with great sailing and world famous Maine Lobsters! Come join us in beautiful Boothbay Harbor!

Bill, I'm looking at a chart of Boothbay Harbor as I type! Hope I can get there.

Andrew, I haven't seen anyone but yourself locally registering for this event. Is the Newport fleet going to post?
