Length of Mainsheet

Does anyone know the correct length for mainsheet?

Push your boom out to the shrouds, measure from the block to the boom and multiply by the amount of purchase. Add a couple feet for the tail. I use a continuous sheet (3:1/6:1), and love it but everyone has their own personal preferences.

Dear John,
I think the manual says 55 feet for the standard 5:1 system.
