Refinishing the pole?

The epoxy finish on our pole has largely flaked off for a number of perfectly good reasons and I think it's time to refinish it. Does anyone have any opinion as to whether it would be better to roll on some UV stabilized clear epoxy or use an opaque topside paint - Interlux Brightsides can be painted over carbon fiber?

I would avoid Brightside; it's not hard enough. Go with a linear polyurethane like Awl Grip. Prime properly and roll-and-tip the top coat. If it's already clear-coated, you can probably just use clear Awl Grip. I suspect Awl Grip is what's on the pole in the first place. But to be sure call Waterline at 401 682 1661. They are the builder and are very helpful.

I'll give that a try. Apparently even uv stabilized epoxy needs a topcoat so why not just cover with something once?
