| |
Run in conjunction with the Texas NOOD Regatta,
the 2001 J/80 North American Championships proved to be a test
of patience and light-air boatspeed. Although the event was
limited to two days when an oil spill in Galveston Bay closed
the upper bay to recreational boating on Sunday, excellent work
by the dedicated race committee on a free-standing course enabled
the fleet to complete six races on Friday and Saturday. |
